Skate Like A Girl celebrates 10 years on CNN this Friday!

Skate Like a Girl will be featured on CNN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade, this Friday March 5th, between 8:30 and 9:00 AM.  CNN’s new segment, “Breakthrough Women“, highlights women who overcome challenges and inspire others with their story”, and the SLAG faithful definitely qualify.  I question CNN’s dedication to promoting feminism, but I certainly do not question the dedication of the Skate Like a Girl folks!  Tune in and check it out.   I will make sure to post a link to the video after it airs.

It’s also Skate like a Girl’s 10th anniversary.  They’ve come a long way since those humble beginnings down in Oly, and they’re celebrating with a new challenge.  SLAG is asking thier Facebook, Twitter, Myspace friends to donate any amount to their Firstgiving account (www.firstgiving.com/skatelikeagirl). For the month of February those who donate more then $40 will get a new Skate Like a Girl shirt.

And really… who cares about getting a shirt when you can make a huge difference to this super positive community-based organization?
