P-I Editorial Skate-Board: take 2

“Heaven knows, the city has kicked the urban skateboard community around in pursuit of big bucks, jobs and the glitz of a new home for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. When the city sold land that included a former skate park to the foundation, officials estimated that the Center could receive a $22 million windfall. A new home for skating was anticipated before the demolition of the old facility. Never happened.”
