I took these photos today thanks to Seattle Parks, Wally Holliday, and Tom Sahli.

First of all, I’ve been skating for 8 years. I took a peak at this park earlier and was kind of worried about the fun box that’s going in. It’s definitely gonna be a major part of the street course, so it should be as well done as possible. Not to get down on the contractors, cause they kick ass for doing this for us, but the transitions on it seemed a little abrupt. The pyramid at Shoreline Skatepark has really good, smooth, slowly escalating transitions between the ramps and ground, and it’s easily the best constructed pyramid in Washington. Although, I haven’t skated the fun box at Lower Woodland yet, so I can’t make a definite judgment. It’s just something to keep in mind.

    Thanks

This park is really coming together nicely. I thought at one point the blueprints for it were published somewhere?

    Can’t wait.

Nevermind about the transitions. They rock.
