Seattle P-I: Susan Paynter weighs in.

paynter.jpgOn a day when the entire City Council addressed the SeaSk8 issue in their weekly briefing, the P-I readership was presented with a news-editorial piece by a veteran Northwest journalist who has consistently and objectively written about skatepark issues in Seattle.

In an environment where skateboarders have been misrepresented by the media and blogizens as Art Killers, it’s nice to hear from someone in the media who understands that the respect for art and the need for a safe public space for skateboarding are not necessarily mutually exclusive sentiments.
